Y.U.R.W.I.’s goal is to ensure that program participants become stronger readers and writers. We aim to strengthen participants’ abilities in reading comprehension, creative writing, media literacy and public speaking.

Our curriculum and programming is derived from

Jami's experience as an educator on Chicago's

South and West sides for over two decades and

Blak's experience as an entrepreneur and

published author ten times over since the late 90s.

Through a three-tier mode of connecting to and

comprehending the written word

empowering the youth of today.
